As always, this week – conference week – has been a busy week! I took some time yesterday to install and calibrate our new interactive whiteboard, which is a tool that works with the projector, computer, and document camera to make our projection screen behave like a SmartBoard. We can thank IPEVO and their Wishpool for this donation. In the past we also received iPad cases and our document camera from IPEVO. IPEVO ROCKS!
Also this week, I have been preparing 5th grade family portraits and 6th grade self portraits to upload to our Artsonia gallery. Once there, you may share the link to your child’s art with friends and family, and you may order cards and gifts with your child’s artwork. If you haven’t yet authorized your child’s account on Artsonia, please contact me @agentili@mursd.org. I am hoping to have the portraits in the gallery by the middle of next week.
During the half days yesterday the fifth graders enjoyed 3 great videos in their shortened art block. I love these videos because they are always inspiring to my youngest students. Let’s just say if your child went home talking about building something with cardboard or creating a perpetual motion machine, you can blame the videos. Here they are so you may enjoy them at home:
Enjoy the videos and send me photos of YOUR Rube Goldberg machine!
Hello Alice,
Glad we can be part of it!
