No School…Carve A Ghoul!

Well, Hurricane Sandy has left her mark around here with power outages and toppled trees. We lost power at my house just before 4:00 yesterday and it is still out as I write this post from school. I took advantage of the free day yesterday to make some clay trays and then explore different types of surface decoration, including peacock feathers, paper doilies, and wooden batik stamps:

I’m not sure what I’ll do on this day before Halloween, but since there’s no school, I could carve a ghoul!

Check out this Mona Lisa pumpkin:

A scary yet smiling Mona pumpkin:

I can’t wait to hear or see how you spent your storm days!
