…and I have the drawing to prove it! This week, once finished with their Digital Selfies, students have been creating portraits of someone they admire. Subjects range from Taylor Swift to Tyler Seguin (go Bruins!). These portraits are amazing both to the viewer and the artist. In class just yesterday I was uploading a student’s image to Artsonia and he just couldn’t contain himself, “I can’t believe I actually made that!”, he exclaimed proudly. The celebrity portraits may be found on Artsonia in the I’m Your Biggest Fan exhibit.
Once students had finished the required self portrait and celebrity portrait, they were able to choose a subject of their choice. Images range from Peter Griffin to Elmo. These images can be found on Artsonia in the Independent Student Work exhibit.
