Writing in the Artroom/Quote of the Day (8)

My fifth grade students have been writing in art class. Honestly, they don’t love it. But it’s just one paragraph written in a few minutes of one class. We are writing Artist Statements for the Cut-Paper project that I posted about last week:

We are using our school standard Idea Splash graphic organizer to create an Artist Statement Word Splash as a tool for developing a paragraph. The kids are glad that my artroom definition of a paragraph is “at least 3 sentences, no more than 5 sentences, and 4 is just lovely”.
